Sharon Khunkhun, Esq.

Immigration attorney, President of Khunkhun Law

My parents immigrated from India to England (UK) in the late 60’s, shortly after they got married, and England is where I was born. In 1989, we immigrated to the US—Queens County to be specific! Due to the reckless and negligent representation of a US immigration attorney, my family and I suffered the bleakest years of our lives. Needless to say, I know what it is like to be at the mercy of a heartless immigration attorney and the US immigration system. Fortune shined upon us 7 years later when I won the Green Card lottery as I was a UK born national and I was able to get my Green Card. I then had the GREATEST PRIVILEGE OF MY LIFE to sponsor my parents for their Green Cards when I became a US Citizen.

About our Firm:

Over the course of more than 22 years, Sharon Khunkhun has dedicated her practice to representing a multitude of interests as a Court Attorney for a NYC Judge, litigator with one of the top law firms in NY, and then opening up her own practice as an immigration lawyer as she was repeatedly asked to represent immigrants in her community. Did you know that Sharon also sat and passed the Bar Exam for the US Patent and Trademark Office the first time she sat for it which is one of the most difficult bar exams in the US?

As a result of her diverse experience, Sharon is able to guide clients in all things related to family immigration law – right from the very first phone call, Sharon and her team serve clients through filing their cases in a manner that is thorough and avoids unnecessary stress. Therefore, in an industry that already can prove both intimidating and stressful, the firm has made itself a supportive and tenacious partner to its clients, taking a big picture approach to its services in order to treat immigration as a holistic process that it can see through from beginning to end. In this manner, it ensures that a client feels totally supported during the time they are in the care of Khunkhun Law. Sharon has dedicated her practice to family based immigration, and more specifically, marriage based immigration, as her passion is to help reunite couples whose lives have been torn apart due to immigration laws. You can read about some of her success stories in her clients’ reviews.

Over the years, Khunkhun Law has proven itself as a cornerstone in family immigration law and an empathic, steadfast partner to its clients. Fundamentally, we have secured notoriety through our helpful and diligent services. A client can contact Khunkhun Law for example, as soon as they have decided to get married, obtaining immediate and actionable information over how the foreign national spouse can obtain a Green Card and move to the United States safely. Oftentimes, we are approached by clients for whom their Green Card application is a time sensitive issue, though the couple’s plans to get married are thwarted by local clerk’s office delays and bureaucracy. For us, this simply won’t do—we work with the client to circumvent these frustrations.

Sharon is very passionate about her work in family-based immigration cases where she uses creativity to weave together her clients’ narratives so that USCIS can understand the authenticity of her clients' relationships. After having worked with several Fortune 500 companies, hundreds of and small to medium sized IT consulting companies all over the United States, Sharon has stepped away from the corporate world to dedicate herself to family immigration, to dedicate herself to you!
